9/13/06 Went to see The Rasmus at HOB. Meet Tom before the show. Could have sworn he grabbed my ass but anyways. Waiting in line for the doors to open and who comes out to video tape the line…none other then Eero. Me and a few girls went over to talk to him. He’s such a sweet guy but he talks soooo softly. Got a picture with him. They were up first (which was good b/c I could have careless about the other ones there) and I was on the balcony watching them. They came out to Night after night which I fucking love! But after that I worked my way down to the floor wanting to get closer. There weren’t many people there for them so I got right up to the barrier. For only 30 minutes (sadly) they put on a great show. Lauri is just beautiful playing the guitar. And when Aki gets overly excited a drum stick shot out of his hand and landed right on Lauri’s head. After they left the stage I went out back. I saw Pauli but I didn’t get a chance to snag him. I did talk to Lauri. He gave me a hug and I got a pic and auto (in scraps sense it’s so blurry). We talked for a little while about them upcoming tour and how they want to be more known in the states. But the cheeriness stops there. The guy working the back threatened to call the cops on me. Then I was supposed to meet up with Tom afterward and that never went threw. Bahh doesn’t matter he did hurt himself. It still rocked!

So The Rasmus taped the show. I saw the guy back there filming, thought nothing of it. Then I watched the video. They do a close up of me! OMMFG! Anyways if your interested I put it up on my myspace. (link below) First if you look by Lauris ass you will see some girls swaying to the music. The first girl is me then later its right in my face. O.O Ahhh!

Eric and I left for the venue early. I had a mission. Anyways we parked and while were walking to the Agora I see a tour bus and Jussi’s head popped out before ducking back in. Well at least I knew they were there. So we stood by the side entrance and roadies brought their items in. Jussi came out of the bus, his hands full with items and went towards the entrance I asked for a picture later and he said sure. Other members followed suit.

The first who actually had the time to let me take their picture was Bazie. Sweet guy. The next was Jyrki. He came out and introduced himself. God does that man have a strong handshake. Anyways I got two photos and he signed a postcard. It was really cute how he signed it too. He put a halo over his head and a heart on his chest and then his name. We started up a conversation with him. I asked him what he thought of Cleveland and he said it was ok and that the band spent the morning at the RnR. Then he showed me the green wrist band he had not taken off. He went on to say how they were worried about touring the US b/c they didn’t know how people would react to them. I informed him that there is a base for them here and that many websites have already given great reviews. One of which I brought up was myspace. He said right away that they had no official myspace page (yes I did know this) but that they were planning on changing that soon b/c of myspace has the attention it does and they wanted a page they could control. He even mentioned that he found someone playing himself on there. And yea I told him I do things like that. Just not in detail. I asked him what happened to Jussi and he said he would find out. Came back later and said Jussi was in the shower. Nuff said!

The next and the last band member I meet was Jussi. He came out and let me take a picture with him. OMG the man is short. I’m taller then he is and I’m only 5’4”. Anyways he signed 3 postcards and a drum head. I asked him about his hair if he cut it himself. He said yes that it was really simple. So I asked if he could cut mine. At first he said for $300. Yea right Jussi…not all Americans are rich! But then said that my hair was long and beautiful and that I shouldn’t cut it. So yea…I probably won’t.

So we stood outside for a while. It was raining but ehh who cares. The road manager was going to send this one kid to get himself and Jussi coffee. So fuck ya I went along. We were nicknamed the coffee kids. But anyways we went and got it and I might have done something to Jussi’s cup but I will never tell! For doing this little errand we were but on the 69 eyes guest list.

So we go inside and wait for the opening bands to play. They were alright. I mean nothing to write home about but not to bad either. The 69 eyes came out to the Lost Boys Movie theme song. OMG the show was unbelievable! I was in standing in the sitting section. It’s closer to the stage so I could have casually just reached out and touched the band members. Some memorable moments… Jussi sitting out beer like a geyser. Jussi also jacking off his drumsticks. Jyrki jacking off the mic stand. Jyrki slowly putting his fingers to his mouth and the whole room going dead silent. Jussi screaming out into the mic for no real reason. Jyrki standing on a drum and almost losing it. Being so close that I often came in eye contact with Timo-Timo and he would just stare and give a little smile. It was cool and a little creepy. All in all this was one fucking hell of a show. If they are coming to your town and you’re not going to pay the $12.50 to see them I need to ask you one thing. What the fucking hell is wrong with you!?!?

HIM show was AMAZING!

The opening band had to play two sets as the other one decided last minute they could not perform. Who they were I can not remember. But they enjoyed belittling the audience.

Has anyone else noticed that HIM concert budget is much higher then before? Anyways they blew me away. And to Kat I think you will be quite happy to know that they only played about 4 songs from the new album. Ville seemed to be more energetic and hardly smoked or drank onstage. There was even a time he went to drink a beer, looked at Mige who gave Ville a strange look. Ville put the bottle up and down deciding on to take a drink or not when Mige motioned for him to put it down. Ville did. Awww, their looking out for each other.
